Saffron Art Gallery February Exhibition - Saffron Introduces.....

Saffron Art Gallery February Exhibition – Saffron Introduces.....

In their first scheduled exhibition of 2011, Saffron is delighted to introduce 10 new artists to the gallery. With original paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics and, for the first time, glass, the exhibition will showcase a blend of emerging and well established regional and national talent along with a little hint of Ireland.

London based artist Paul Bennett brings his powerful yet restful seascapes inspired by the rugged Scottish coastline and weather. Jan Nelson is a Midlands based Scottish artist, also inspired by the coastline and water sports despite being landlocked in Leicestershire. Her dynamic yacht racing and coastal paintings bring vitality and sit beautifully with Adriana Brinsmead-Stockham’s water inspired glass sculptures.

Established regional artists include Dani Humberstone, Gavin Roweth and Louise Giblin who bring oils and sculpture respectively while still life is provided by Tor Hildyard and collagraphs by Ali Stump. Beautiful ceramic stacks by London based Ros Perton, who combines a mix of coarse black clay with delicate porcelain. Finally, Saffron introduces Cork based artist Con Cremin’s landscapes in oil. Con is a major influence behind the award-winning London based artist Helen Masacz, who’s oils will be exhibited alongside Con’s own work.

The exhibition starts on Saturday February 5th runs through to Saturday February 19th. Gallery opens Mon-Sat 10.00am-5.00pm. More information can be found on www.SaffronGallery.co.uk , on facebook.com/saffrongallery or by phoning 01424 772 130.
