In the past week, several new members have joined HASTINGS ARTS FORUM just so they can be eligible to take part in this show!
Included are Rachel Kruger who exhibits country-wide in glass, Nick Jennings in ceramics who works from a 60 metre (sic) kiln which he built in Japan and Shahriar Mazandi in photography featuring his study of gangs in Los Angeles - and who has featured on "Top Gear" and in the "Sunday Times".
There is a record entry for a Members' Show of 73 members, requiring the show to be hung salon style. Many images are large, including a triptych (photo rag inkjet) of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery at £550.
There is some interesting 3 - D work including the 'sculpture by Mark Selby (pictured below.).
Prices are mostly affordable in the £150 - £300 bracket, but many are less than this. The top price asked is £950.00
David and Philip from 'The Old Post Office' will be providing the catering in AF2 , complete with an artistic centre-piece.
