STANDARD Bronze Casting Course – Wax creation through to Patination
6 day programme, 1 day per week – designed for beginners or those with limited experience.
Dates: October 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th & November 1st & 8th
Time: Each day – 10am to 5pm (with an hour break for lunch)
ADVANCED Bronze Casting Course - Wax creation, Investment & Pour
3 day programme, 1 day per week - designed for individuals who have attended courses previously & require a refresher, or have existing knowledge that they wish to build on. Please note that attendance is not compulsory on the third day of each programme.
Dates: September 6th, 13th & 20th
Time: Each day - 10am to 5pm (with an hour break for lunch)

During the sessions, each stage of the process will be covered in-depth & unedited, for a full & comprehensive understanding of this ancient practice for contemporary application.

- how to use the lost wax process (‘grog’ & ‘ludo’ method) to continue making artworks in bronze
- how to save money & avoid future foundry costs by undertaking the process yourself
- how to exploit each of the stages creatively & experiment with the possibilities of the process
- how to finish your piece using appropriate chemical application (patination)
